I'm Angela Grace, a designer and illustrator who loves travelling and spending summers in cottage country, Ontario. I'm inspired by the beauty of our natural world and take great care to share it through my work. Whether that's a lone loon calling to her mate beneath a starlit sky or a puddle of newly hatched tadpoles glistening in the morning sun, these beautiful visual gifts provide endless inspiration for my creative soul. A Brief Biography
Born in England, Angela Grace immigrated to Canada at a young age with her British father and Austrian mother. Creativity was a strong element in her family, with music, art and dance an integral daily influence. Although dance and sports remained a strong interest for Angela, her passion for drawing and creating art was her greatest focus. Attracted to the beauty of the natural world, its details and colours, she explored and honed her skill, trying everything from cartoon-like drawings to realistic renderings.
Graduating from a two-year commercial arts high school program in Ottawa, Angela Grace continued her studies with evening classes in drawing and painting at the Ottawa School of Art. Impressed by her work, one of her teachers encouraged the pursuit of a commercial art career. Accepted as a full time student in the Illustration Program at Sheridan College, Brampton, Ontario, Angela graduated with a major in Book Illustration, receiving an Outstanding Achievement award.
Her creative career flourished with positions as a Freelance Illustrator at Pronk & Associates in Toronto and a Graphic Designer at MDC Design Group. Work as a progressive, contemporary freelance artist continued through marriage, children, and a move to Whitby, Ontario, where she currently resides with her family and actively pursues her art.
