Califlora (California + Flora) was inspired by the many beautiful flowers growing in the region. I began visiting California when my eldest daughter landed an athletic scholarship at Stanford University. Usually, I would visit during the March Break and spend a couple of weeks with her. Coming from Ontario, it was such a nice change from the cold winter months. The sun was shining and the air warm and inviting. Everything was in full bloom and my daughter and I filled our cameras with hundreds of photos. I think this is what initially triggered her love for landscape photography. Her school days are long over now, but many years later I am still receiving her beautiful photos, which eventually blossomed into a collection we call “Califlora”.
